ABOUT

We are a fire pump and fire pump controller sales, service and testing company incorporated in the state of Louisiana. We have been in business since 1997 and cover the entire state of Louisiana and Mississippi. We work hand in hand with licensed Sprinkler Contractors and with end users in the commercial, petro-chemical and industrial markets. We are centrally located and can travel to your jobsite quickly. We now have expanded to 3 service trucks and will do everything possible to meet your need as fast as possible. Our recent expansion into the rental fire pump market has allowed us to offer our customers solutions from diagnosis of a problem, connection of a temporary rental pump, to replacement with new equipment.

Kenneth Schmidt, Sr.

Kenny is the President of Fire Pump and Controller Technologies and started the company in 1997. His background is in mechanical engineering, having studied at LSU and the University of New Orleans. He then spent some time in HVAC design at Avondale Shipyards, before going into fire pump sales with the then ITT AC Fire Pump representative. He started Fire Pump and Controller Technologies in Metairie Louisiana in 1997, then centralized the business location into Acadiana in 2000 to better serve the entire marketplace. Kenny has been married to Lisa for almost 35 years with whom he has 5 children and 4 grandchildren. He is a devot Christian and active in many ministries.

Kenneth Schmidt, Jr.

Ken has been with Fire Pump and Controller Technologies for over 8 years. His vocational studies were centered around electronics and electrical controls. He has completed fire pump controller training in service and repair. His duties include fire pump start-up, yearly testing, weekly/monthly exercise runs, controller repair, fire pump repacks and fire pump rebuilds. Ken is married to Christian and has two young daughters. He is active in his church community and enjoys time with his family, amateur gunsmithing and shooting sports.

Dominic Schmidt

Dominic is our newest addition to Fire Pump and Controller Technologies. Dominic is a full-time employee, and has three years of fire pump experience. Dominic assists in all aspects of the fire pump business and is learning the trade, as all apprentices did years ago. Dominic is a faithful Christian, enjoys all sports and spending time with his wife Piper.
